Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Happy New Year!

Well! Quite the shindig last night.
I found the perfect little black snazzy dress. That was a sign that it was going to be a good night. And I bought it new! Can you belive it?! Talk about splurgin'!

We had dinner with Kim-n-Tim beforehand, then headed over to Mickey P's around 9pm. I think all in all we had about 20 people or so. Shaun D brought over black lights, and Heather whipped up a lovely spread of chips-n-dip and little spinach quiches. Mickey P cleared out the living room so we had a huge dance floor. And Steve and I loaded up my iPod with our pick of some funky dance songs.

Look at that party girl!

I love this photo. Tania dancin' with her man (who is wearing a kilt, by the way. Very nice.) while grabbing his tush, and Shaun with the hat that came out of nowhere.

And look at Kim go! Daaaaancin' Queeeeeeen..............

And then the crashin' begins.....whew.
And Steve and I finally made it home at 4am. I know, I know. Party Animals.

Steve woke me out of a very sound sleep at noon on this morning. We were supposed to be at Julia's for brunch at noon. Didn't happen. But we made it by one. And we were still the first people there. Julia made a huge breakfast - eggs, potatoes, cinnamon rolls, sausage.....I can't believe she had the energy to do it. We were all very appreciative. We laid around her living room, eating and watching the WVU game (go Mountaineers!) and looking at photos from the night before. It was cold and rainy all day, so what better way to ring in a new year than with good friends, lots of food, hot coffee and football?

I tell ya, life just don't get any better...

It was fun. :-)

Then today I was playing with my camera and erased all the pics I took at Julia's. :-( Still have all the NYE ones tho-. Miss you!

Sounds like your NYE party was just like ours - eatin', drinkin', and dancin'! We had 24 of us in a huge rented house in Nags Head. Four familes - all the kids (our "kids" ranged in age from 17 - 25) and friends. It was a good time. Happy, Healthy, Prosperous New Year to you!
