Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Nice, busy day

I got up this morning and went for a walk with Kim. It was a two hour, mid-hike through Carkeek Park - which ends up overlooking the water. Very difficult (for me) but very worth it. Afterwards, I noticed I missed a call from a friend from work who happened to be shopping in Ballard. I called her and we met up for coffee. After coffee, I shopped at Goodwill and finally found some jeans that are comfortable.....and a size too big. It's good to have some room around the holidays.

After all of the walking and all of the shopping, I was pooped when I got home. I threw together some brown rice, black beans, onions and broccoli and called it dinner. Not too shabby. And we watched four episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season six. Yes, we're junkies.

Ah, the first day of vacation. I can just feel the tension melt away.....
Except my massage therapist took two weeks off so I won't be seeing her until January. It's funny how I've gotten dependent on something like a massage. I could see somebody else at the place, but she knows my history and my quirks. I guess I'll just wait until she gets back.

No, I'm not spoiled. Why do you ask?
