Update! Traumatic Manicure...

Did I ever update you on my traumatic manicure experience in Poulsbo?
For those of you new to the blog, on a lovely weekend in Poulsbo I treated myself to a day at the spa, complete with massage, manicure and pedicure. Everything was wonderful except the woman who did my manicure. She was rude, vulgar and literally ripped the cuticles from my nails. I wrote an email to the salon detailing this horrible experience because, in my old age, I've decided I am not going to waste time taking crap from anyone.

Anyway, I got a christmas card in the mail the week after christmas from the owner of the salon. Included in the card was a newspaper clipping from the Horrible Manicurist's new salon, complete with her face on it. Written in the card was a very nice note apologizing for way I was treated, and explaining that my experience was "the straw that broke the camel's back".

That's right. I got someone fired.
Around christmas, no less.

There was also a 15% off coupon for any service, should I decide to visit the salon again. This is just positive reinforcement that bitching pays off.

Speaking of manicures, I got my nails painted last night. Green and blue with little white whispies on them. GO SEAHAWKS!

No, no. Not with a manicure. They put a really heavy top layer on it to seal it in. Remember when you were here and I got my nails done in red at our manicure? That lasted the entire week. It's like magic....
