Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Barking Frog

April 14th, Evening

At 7:30pm we had dinner at the Barking Frog. Steve wore his black suit with a red shirt and black tie, and I wore a red Japanese inspired, floor length dress (purchased at the Goodwill Outlet, by the pound, which makes it roughly $2) with my little sandal-like open toed black shoes (with Hussy Red toenails). And as I think about it now, I can't believe we didn't take a self portrait in our get-up because we looked HOT. We were turnin' heads at the restaurant.

We sat by a couple celebrating their 22nd anniversary and apparently their relationship was lacking something because the woman turned and talked to us the majority of the time they were there. Unless Steve and I were leaned over the table, talking in hush hush tones like we were in love or something. Then she got the hint and left us alone. At one point, when I got up to go to the ladies room, she grabbed my arm and hugged me and wished me happy birthday. Strange.

Dinner was wonderful. The food, the wine, the dessert (because it's my birthday dammit!) everything was fabulous.

Then we went back to the room to snuggle, flip on the fireplace and watch The Incredibles, which Steve bought me. I know....not a fairy tale ending, but we were tired and quite drunk by that point.
