The Un-Superbowl
Well, that was fun!
I could say everything that's already been said by reporters and soon to be ex-football fans, but I won't. Seattle isn't whining, the Seahawks aren't whining. So I'm not going to whine either. There are plenty of people speaking up for us.
Yes, Bettis got his Hollywood ending. That's what the Superbowl is all about, isn't it? Good TV. And the Steelers definately make some good TV.

Well, you're feeling MUCH better about this than I am!
I'm actually quite miffed about it, but I will not succumb to bad behavior. It's done. We'll have our chance again next year. And hopefully, the Steelers won't.
I just posted and the dang thing got lost! Let me try to remember. I hear you were surprised not to hear from any of us. It wasn't because we thought Seattle deserved to win. We didn't want to rub it in. Just thought we'd be nice and let it go rather than rubbing it in.
I agree that there are bad calls in every game. And, there were bad calls in this one - some against the Steelers and some against the Seahawks. Heck, the Steelers had some horrible calls in games leading up to the Superbowl. But, if you play well enough to override those bad calls, you can still win the game. The only call 'in question' that I can think of - against the Seahawks - was a touchdown. But, the Steelers won by more than a touchdown. They played badly, but they played better than the Seahawks.
I also think that the Seahawks winning would have been a bigger story. They were the underdog. They have never been to the Superbowl. All in all, it wasn't good TV. It was a boring game.
I hope I don't make too many enemies of your fellow Seattlites.

Hey there! As they say - somebody has to win and somebody has to lose. That's the game. I knew I'd have a happy brother-in-law or a happy cousin. And please don't even talk to me about bad calls - we're the Redskins! We're used to bad calls, every single game. Like we have a black cloud hanging over our heads. I still say we'll be there next year. Don't care who comes with us! ;>)
