Car update

I got the new valve on the car. Now it runs fine. I'll have to work on the seatbelt this weekend.

I don't know what I'm going to do about a new car. Steve has asked me to wait until I take the beginner's motorcycle course (which I'm doing the first weekend in August) to see if I take to using a clutch.

But I'm still searching AutoTrader for automatics.....

Ok, I guess I have 2 lectures for you:
First is the "Let Me Tell You How Dangerous a Motorcyle Is" lecture. I have this conversation with Kyle quite often. People do not respect motorcycles enough, therefore that leads to accidents where the motorcycle rider is usually the one killed. We have had 3 bike riders killed in accidents in the last 3 weeks in our area. 'Nough said. Except that if you get a motorcyle and get killed in an accident I will be quite pissed at you.
Second is the "Never Get a Stick Shift Car" lecture. You always think they're fun and cool until you get one and then they are nothing but a pain in the ass. Why in the hell would anyone want to have to press a clutch and manually change gears when the car can automatically do it for you??? I don't get it. And I've known way too many people who get the stick, then complain about it until they end up getting a new car. All of my wisdom comes from maturity (actually old age - been there, done that) so I'm allowed to give all this not-asked-for advice. So, there are my 2 lectures. You, of course, will do whatever you want! ;>)

It's probably my fault for not understanding that "maybe" means "100% dead set against."

Just so you know, lots and lots and lots of motorcycles are standard shift. Most, actually. Maybe even all. Hope that's okay.

Hi Steve! I was actually just referring to cars when I was ranting about clutch vs. automatic. I don't really know anything about motorcycles, except that I think they're a little dangerous. Don't get me wrong - I think it would be alot of fun to hop on one and ride around. Bucky would LOVE to have one. Contemplates it every now and then, then decides no. So - I have nothing against motorcycles or riders, they (the motorcycles, not the riders) just scare me a little. So, I'm assuming you have a motorcycle - do you wear your helmet??? Just a mom asking a question. ;>)
