Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

April 16

Steve and I woke up late, of course and dashed off to his parents for Easter/Birthday brunch, which was starting at 11am. His mom made this incredible french toast in a casserole dish thing. Pure fat. I'm sure of it. And following this decadent breakfast was an even decadenter cake. Yellow cake with pinapple something-er-other and pudding and chilled. Ack.

Diet? What diet? Ha! I laughed at the diet.

We hung out there until 3ish, then dropped by my sister's to say hi, then over to Steve's brother's to go over some music stuff so he can record with us next month. Have I mentioned that? A friend of a friend is an engineering student and needs a band to record for school. So the friend put us in touch with her friend and we're set to record in May. Just one song. Steve's brother will play guitar with us and we're borrowing his brother's band's drummer. We haven't practiced too much yet, but we will in the upcoming weeks.

And so concludes Sunday. We got home at 9pm, but stayed up until 2am watching the first season of Lost on DVDs. We're all caught up now.

I'm afraid to ask, but would this have anything to do with the CD you and Steve are supposed to be "getting ready to record"????? And by the way, is that ever going to happen??

Nope, different recording project. This will just be the one song. We're talking to someone about recording - just waiting for him to get his studio unpacked and set up. Then we'll play.
