Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Allergies and New Hair!

I had yesterday off from work - President's Day! Steve and I shopped. Then the weather turned really icky so we curled up inside and watched TV the rest of the night.

And today I had a doctor's appointment at the allergy clinic. I got 26 little pin pricks all up and down my arms that did absolutely nothing so apparently I'm not allergy to anything. Peachy.

The doctor thinks it may be chronic sinusitis. He looked up my nose and said "Man, those are some small passages. No wonder you can't breathe!" He ordered a CT and said that will tell us if it's sinusitis or not. If it's not, we'll think of something else. He said I could just go on Claritin for the rest of my life, but I'd kinda like to avoid taking a pill forever. I'd rather figure out the problem. And if it is sinusitis then there will be a round of antibiotics for three weeks and that should do the trick. I'll have to reseach the cost of the CT and if getting it done at my clinic would be covered. That way, I could just pop across the hall on my lunch break.

Anyway, after my doctor's appointment, I had a nice lunch with myself, then took my glasses to the eye clinic so they could figure out what the hell is wrong with the lenses. There's this.....defect. It's like they're bifocals. I hate wearing them and that was the whole purpose of spending the money for a second set of glasses - one pair for work, one for home.

Then, this evening, I took the bus downtown to my hair appointment. I told the woman I wanted Rock Star Hair. Make me cool!

And I like it. Alot. I'll post a picture soon.

Now my friend and I just need to go shopping so I can get some clothes that actually fit me well (and aren't from Goodwill) and I should be good to go.
