Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Quiet week

It's already Friday. Wow. I love short weeks.

We had dinner with an old friend of Steve's on Wednesday. Funny thing - she thought she remembered Steve's phone number (even though they haven't seen each other in seven years) so she tried it and sure enough, he still had the same number. She called a week or so ago and they got all caught up. It was good to meet her. Steve mentions her off and on, so I could finally put a name with a face.

Thursday (and Tuesday too, now that I think about it), I didn't move from the couch all night. My sinuses are acting up this week so I'm not sleeping much. By the time I get home from work, I'm just spent. I get in my sweats, wash my face and head for the couch. At 10, I go to bed. It's not exciting, but it's all I can muster.

Actually, we're venturing out of the house tonight (cause it's Friday!) to hear Thornton and a couple of gals sing at a wine shop. Very cool little place. They have wonderful wines and little nibley plates. Singers set up in the corner and the crowd is normally there specifically to hear the performer so it's quiet and respectful. A nice way to spend a Friday evening. I think Donna and Sandra are going to join us.

Then, tomorrow, is a memorial for Steve's grandfather, who passed away a couple of weeks ago. Not a fun way to spend a Saturday, but it's gotta be done. It will be nice to see his folks (yes, I know you're reading this :-) We haven't seen them I think that's right.

And then no plans Saturday night and Sunday. Woohoo!
