Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

I'm Still Alive....

Yes, yes, I know it's been a while. Last week was beyond hectic and there wasn't a lot of time for lunch, much less posting.

I stayed home Tuesday and ended up sleeping until 1:30pm so I guess my body really was worn out. Ended up working the rest of the week. Yay.

And that's all I'm going to say about that....

This weekend was okay.
We had a 40th birthday party Saturday night that I would have rather not gone to but you do what you gotta do for your friends. My head was still throbbing and my nose was all clogged up and all I wanted to do was stay in my jammies and sleep. But oh well. I apologized to the birthday girl for not being my normal chipper self. She understood.

Sunday, I was supposed to go shopping with Jessica, but I cancelled. Again, not up to it. So I cleaned a little and started my new Stephen King book, Lisey's Story. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. The writing is very....scattered. King has always been a very unique writer, but I feel like the last couple of books have been a bit subpar. Or maybe my tastes are changing. Who knows.

Anyway, I laid around all day. And it was beautiful out so I felt especially guilty that I didn't even get out for a walk. Steve went off to play with his old band for the day, so it was nice to have the house to myself.

And that's my weekend. Nothing interesting at all.

Now, this coming week is jam packed with excitement!

I'll have to be at work around 6am tomorrow for an anniversary breakfast at 7am (and I'm sure I'll be here late tonight - no massage for me). Our friend Tim is out of town this week, so I'll go over and keep Kim company tomorrow evening. Wednesday, ThorNton Creek is playing in Fremont, so some friends and I are going to dinner then to the show. And Thursday is my TV night/me time so I'll have some downtime then.

And then! This weekend is a bachelorette party. Alllllll day Saturday and Saturday night. Hopefully it won't take me a year to get pictures up this time. And Sunday is the Superbowl. Which I'm not too excited about. Go Colts. I think we'll be going down to Steve's friend's place in Maple Valley- about an hour away. I'm hoping Donna and Sandra go with us because I won't know anyone at this party. But hey! Free food and drink!

I just need to get through the next two days. Then I can think about the weekend.
