Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Post Turkey Day Report

Well, our Thanksgiving was just lovely. We went Up North to the Millers' where we had dinner with Steve's parents, brother, sister-in-law, nephew, aunt and sister-in-law's brother. A true family thing. We had all the standards - turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, green bean casserole, rolls and apple and pumpkin pies for dessert. Oh, and five bottles of wine (we didn't finish them *all*).

I'm proud to say that I was in no pain of any kind when we left.

Friday, we had every intention of going up to the mountains to play in the snow, but we slept in (what's new?) and when we finally got up, we read that they were closing I-90 for avalanche control that afternoon. No thank you. So I went down to Ballard, got a peppermint mocha from Starbucks and window shopped. I had a nice afternoon by myself. And Steve took apart another bass and put some different stuff in it.

That evening, we had a quick dinner with Kelly & Lisa. Lisa has holiday art shows coming up so she was pre-occupied with getting ready for that. Afterwards Steve and I just curled up for the night.

Saturday, we both tinkered around the house, then went over to an ex-co-worker's boat for a little open house. We only stayed for a bit, then went to the music store, Goodwill and then rented a video, in preparation for curling up for another quiet evening at home.

And then today, more tinkering. And football. And snow! What a wonderful day! I haven't decorated yet, but next weekend. Next weekend is also the motorcycle show. We'll do that Saturday, and maybe we'll make it up to Snoqualmie Falls on Sunday before the Seahawks play.

Oh, and GO REDSKINS! Congrats!
