Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Faithgate

Oh, this just pleases me to no end.

Faith Hill pitched a tantrum on the CMA awards last night when she lost Female Vocalist of the Year to Carrie Underwood.

Now, I am by no means a huge country fan, but the show, on mute, entertains me. And I don't think winning American Idol and being in the biz for a mere two years qualifies you for Female Vocalist of the Year, but just seeing Faith's reaction and then thinking to myself "Did she just.....? No..... Would she be so stupid as to actually yell and scream on camera?" makes me laugh.

I'm sure Faith is a good person and no one deserves to be put through what she is going to be put through, but come on. Use your head. You've got a camera right there in front of you. Don't tell me "I didn't know I was on camera!" You knew you were on camera when you threw your arms in the air when you thought it was your name called.

Poor Faith.

Do you have any corroborating evidence of Faith's tantrum? I watched the show and didn't see it. The only thing wrong with Faith wass too much eye makeup.

I missed the first part of the show (football), but the best was Martina McBride singing "Anyway." Beautiful song, beautiful woman.

I watched the show and she did look quite shocked!
Also, I totally agree with Larry about Martina McBride. She should have won - she or Sara Evans - just my thoughts!

OK, I saw the video. But she said she didn't mean it.

I think it was definitely a joke - just my opinion. Watch it a few times - looks staged. The bad thing was she walked off camera right after, so you couldn't see her. If she had stayed on camera it wouldn't have been so bad. And Martina was great, as usual.

I saw it on youtube b/c I recorded the CMAs but still haven't watched. I think she meant it. Good spin, though.
