Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Ow

Not a very happy day here in Raechelle-land.
My back has seized up on me. It started giving me a fit yesterday, so I got a massage after work, thinking that would ward off any impending freeze up. I even took an Epson salts bath.

Didn't help. And I'm out $70.

Woke up this morning and was fine until I bent down to put my shoes on. Everything around my middle just locked up. I whimpered, dropped to my knees, dropped to my stomach and just laid there for a few minutes until whatever it was decided to let go. I was able to get up, get in my car and come to work (because I'm dedicated like that) but I'm taking breaks about every 30 minutes and just laying on the floor for 10 minutes at a time. Don't worry, you germaphobes. I have a little blanket here that I keep for just such an occasion.

I'm looking forward to a bath and the heating pad this evening. I just get more and more like my mother, don't I? I actually thought about bringing my heating pad to work and then thought, I'm way too young for that!

I think I'm going to just stay home tomorrow. The bachelorette party weekend starts tomorrow night so I need to rest up. And take my muscle relaxers tonight because I have a feeling that alcohol will be in my system tomorrow night and those two don't mix. Trust me.

And that's life out here. Oh, I meant to post a picture of my long orange leather coat for Dee. I don't think she believes that I have one. Maybe tonight, when I'm upright.

Sorry your back is out. Neck and back pain are the worst! I always have the neck issues, Tricia has back issues. I think it runs in our family - Rick has neck/back problems, Dad has back problems. Lucky us. I hope you did stay home from work to rest today - bachelorette parties are important. Priorities, you know. And please do post a pic of you in your floor length, orange leather coat (when you're upright, of course). I'd like to see it!

Have you ever gone to a chiropractor? Mine worked wonders on me. I had to find a new one when we moved back to MD and I don't like him as much. But...every time I feel tight, I go to the chiro & feel a lot better.
