Life Out Here

Bed Shopping

Steve and I went to Ikea today to buy a queen bed. We have a full right now and it's just asinine. Steve wants to buy a queen TempurPedic mattress so we need to upgrade (thank goodness). We decided on one. We called to make sure they had the bed in stock. I had my credit card ready.

And then we didn't buy it.
It looked cheaper than we remembered. And we decided why buy a cheap, expendable bed when we have the money right now to just get a REAL BED? So we left Ikea and went looking around. I did buy a red, queen size quilt, so I feel like I'm getting closer to having a grown up's bedroom (Tricia and I are totally on the same page).

Now I'm just going to get in my jammies and go to bed early. I like nights like this once in a while.

You and Tricia are definitely on the same page! Bucky and I have grown up furniture, but it's ancient! And we have a queen bed but want to graduate to a king! Woo-hoo. Whenever we go on vacation and have a king size bed, we both sleep so much better. However, we just spent a small fortune on new carpet for all our upstairs rooms, so we're having difficulty coming off more of our hard earned money - we're a little frugal. So, Bink, when you come for your next visit, you'll have a nicer room to stay in - if I actually carry out a project from start to finish, which, I must admit, I'm not very good at.

Strange - 3 posts showed up when I checked today. Yesterday, none of them were there.

Yea on a new bed! Some of the bedroom stuff that we have now is IKEA and it's falling apart. Glad you went shopping for "grown up" stuff! ;-) Find anything?

So, I will let out my secret.
Often, I am too tired when I get home to argue with my computer so that I can post an update. So, when I do get the energy, I change the date and time of the post and catch up on the past few days. Just so you know what's going on :)
