Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

S T O R M

This will not be a tribute site to Storm Large, I promise, but I do have a couple of tidbits. We taped Ellen yesterday - Storm was on. She's just awesome. Then when I was getting ready for work this morning, and listening to the radio, my morning station aired a phone interview they had done with her earlier this morning.

Yes, it's a shame she's off Rock Star, but it's best for her. Look at the exposure! And I have a feeling she'll be back on tonight for a encore performance, since she seems to be the most popular ex-contestant right now.

And speaking of ex-contestants, we saw Patrice Pike in Austin. Our first night there we walked down to the main street, South Congress, to look for a place to have dinner, and we saw her sitting outside on the patio of a mexican restaurant with friends. We ended up eating there. She came through the restaurant a little later, so we got a good look at her. She's tiny. And we learned that Austin has a Patrice Pike day. I don't remember which day it is. I was never a fan of hers.

And yes, I know I need to write about Texas and post pictures. I'll try to do that later tonight while I'm watching Rock Star.

I cannot believe Storm wasn't back last night!!! I voted for her to come back! I wish I'd known she was going to be on Ellen so I could have recorded it. I thought she was great. I just thought she was "too pretty" for that band, if that makes sense. If they are going to have a girl lead them, they need someone a bit more slutty. ;-)

Kinda like Delana, huh Tricia? I watched her perform last night and I thought her first song was terrific. I think she would fit just perfectly with the "Has-Beens" band!

Yes, Dilana's first song (a cover song) was great. And I loved that she had the guys backing her. But then she does her original song and it just sucked. It's fine if she wins - I don't care for the new band anyway. But it was fun to watch Storm every week.

And, Tricia, I'm sure the Storm video from Ellen will pop up on YouTube soon. I'll send it to you when I find it.

I hope your blog doesn't turn into a Storm Large tribute. You're much more entertaining than she is.
I don't think slutty is the right word - Storm is slutty in a nice way. I think the right word is dirty or nasty. ;>)
Trish can watch Storm on Ellen at my house - I have it recorded but I haven't watched it either.
So, Lukas is the winner. He's a good fit for the band.
