Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Not Much....

There's not a whole lot to tell ya about.

I have my mani/pedi combo after work today, then I go home to do laundry and pack for the Texas trip. I booked the car to pick us up at 5:45 tomorrow morning (ug) and I printed out the itineraries for the flight and car, which I forgot to do for the West Virginia trip so I was sitting in the Pittsburgh airport, calling rental car companies to ask if they had a reservation for Marsh. Steve says I'm slipping. And I'm only 31!

I bought travel Scrabble last night to keep us occupied on the plane. I like flying at night. I sleep. Day flights bore me. I feel like I have to stay awake, but I can't read for 4 hours. Well, I could, but I never seem to have the right book with me to keep me engrossed for 4 hours. The book I was reading last weekend would have been great. John Sandford's Broken Prey. I read the whole way back from LaPush, which is a first for me because I usually get car sick if I read while we're driving. I love these books. I've read the entire Prey series. I tried a couple of his other books that weren't Prey books, but I couldn't get into them. So I may even grab one of the older Prey books off my book shelf and re-read it. Anything to make the time go by faster.

And then we arrive in Houston at 4:17pm. Probably get to the house around 5:30 or 6. Then veg out. Mom and dad's is good for that. They have cable.

Why can't you sleep on a day flight? I do.
I've read a couple of the Prey books. Your mom sent them to me! I'll have to get into those again. They were good.
Have fun in Houston, etc. Give your mom and dad a hug for me.

Hope the flight was good and that you are having fun. I've read (and listened to) some of the Prey books. They are good...but I can't read too many in a row. It gets quite depressing.
