Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Brandi Concert & Motorcycle Class

Steve and I went to see Brandi Carlile at the zoo last night. It's nice to just sprawl out in the grass and listen to music. Although, I had the fleeting thought "I'm getting too crotchety to go to live shows" just dealing with the typical concert goers. Four older-than-middle-aged men behind us responding to Brandi's light hearted banter with creepy, almost pedophilic comments - "Yeah, it's nice to see you too baby...[evil laugh]" (We couldn't figure out why these men were actually at the concert - I bet they were single or divorced and thought they'd do some male bonding while looking at a pretty girl. They sure didn't seem to actually enjoy any of the music...just Brandi...again, creepy.) The family of 15 in front of us talking and eating through the whole thing. The little kids wrestling beside us. Why do I even bother anymore?

Mat Kearny opened for her. I like one of his songs that the radio plays alot, but didn't know much else about him. He was a good entertainer. Don't care for a couple of his songs.

After the concert, we went out for indian food. Which I'm having for lunch too.

Tonight is my 3 hour motorcycle class. I'm not looking forward to it. I'm tired. Really, really tired. Can't get motivated. Just want to sleep.....
