Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Quiet in Seattle

I haven't written much this week because there just not alot going on.

Steve bought another mattress last night. This one is latex. Which feels much more like a traditional mattress but with the softness of the TempuPedic. And we're told it breathes alot better.

Steve sent the TempuPedic back last week so we've been sleeping on our inflatable air mattress. It's fine for a few nights, but it's been over a week now and I'm just not sleeping very well. Which is why this post is dry and has no personality to it.

Last weekend we got D&S's place cleaned, although their neighbor had to go back over and reclean some drawers in the kitchen because the landlord said they were still dirty and she wasn't going to give them their deposit back. Mean woman.

Saturday night we watched the Seahawks lose their first pre-season game. No biggie. That's why it's pre-season.

Sunday we went down south and watched the races. Jesse didn't race because he was still recovering from food poisoning, but it was still good to just hang out with him and Katie. After the races, we went to Ikea to pick up some more cheap picture frames for our Wall of Cuteness. I'll have to take a picture of the Wall of Cuteness and post it here.

I also drove Steve's stick shift! Without much trouble! It was very exciting. The motorcycle class helped me grasp the concept of a clutch and shifting. And after that, we took his bike down to the same parking lot and I drove that around. Steve was very impressed. Very.

Monday, had dinner with a girlfriend and helped her plan her big post-wedding gathering coming up next weekend.
Tuesday, had drinks with Jesse and his buddies for his birthday.
Wednesday, went out with a buddy from work for dinner and drinks.
Thursday, tested mattresses for an hour and a half, then crashed at home while Steve went out with people and visited with Erin, who was in town for the night.

Tonight, not sure. We were supposed to go to the weiner dog races at Emerald Downs Racetrack for a co-worker's birthday, but we may have accidently made plans that overwrite the weiner dog races. Honestly, I just want to go to bed. I'm spent.

The new mattress gets delivered tomorrow. And I told Steve I'd like to take the bus downtown and shop around for a bit. I want a Seahawks t-shirt and maybe look for some clothes. We don't have any plans until Sunday night (Adam + Kris are in town, so we'll go see them play at Chop Suey) so I'm looking forward to a very low key weekend.
