Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Is It Monday Already?

Steve and I had a change of plans Saturday night, and while we still partied it up childess couple style, it was by ordering in Thai food, crackin' open a bottle of wine and watching some PBS travel show on Central America. I was in bed at midnight. Still my idea of fun.

Sunday was a beautiful fall day here in Seattle. Grey skies, windy, around 50 degrees. I was lovin' it. Steve - not so much. We met our friends for breakfast at 10am (not so difficult since I was in bed early) and ate and gabbed until 1pm. Then we attended Steve's dad's barbershop show, but darted out soon afterward because I had invited people over at 6pm to watch the Seahawks KICK THE TEXANS' BUTTS!! And boy did they! Sorry guys, your team just isn't up to par this year. We had 5 or 6 people over, in shifts. I made a vat of pasta people brought caprese and bread. We lit a log in the fireplace and had a lovely time.

Ah, but now back to work. I'm tired, and I can't wait to get in my sweats when I get home and watch Monday Night Football. I love this time of year. I need to figure out how put pictures on here so I can take some photos, while there's still leaves on the ground. I'll work on that tonight.
