Life Out Here

Just a small way to keep my friends and family, who are strewn about the country, in The Know about my life in Seattle.

Day Two
Fun With Fonts

I'm still playing. Learning how to log on, find the button that lets me start typing my post. I'm sure there's an easier way. I just haven't found it yet.

I'm at lunch now. Oh, blogging at work. I hear that's illegal in some states. Lunch sucks. An Amy's frozen, broccoli & cheese pocket. And 6 whole points! Did I tell you I'm doing the whole weight watchers thing? I've been at it since the first week of August and when my folks came to visit (first week of September) I was down 3 pounds. Without making much of an effort at all. Ah, been then a little vacation while mom & dad were here. Dessert. Twice a day. Lots o' wine. I went back to work and was up 2.8 lbs. *sigh*

But, I'm back down 3.8 lbs since I started in August. Not bad. I'm not gaining, that's the good thing. I like WW. I'm not dieting, just budgeting. Which I'm horrible at. But I walk a few times a week and I don't head straight to the pantry anymore when I get home from work. I get nonfat lattes every morning instead of whole milk lattes. It's the little things.

Are you familiar with weight watchers? Every food has a points value based on their fiber, calories and fat. My Amy's frozen pocket = 6 pts. I'm allowed 20 a day. And I'm supposed to have dinner with friends tonight which of course will include wine (2pts for 4 oz). Ah, but then there's a little extra bank of 35 points to use during the week. So if I go over my 20 points, I just pull a point or 2 (or 6) from my bank. Like a loan, but I don't have to pay it back.

Anyway, enough about points. I have 9 left for the day. I may just drink them tonight.
